Pixiv Picks – Fire Emblem Awakening

For those unfamiliar with the Fire Emblem franchise, it is a series of SRPG’s (Strategy Role Playing Game) that has existed since the NES days in Japan. Sadly the world never saw an international release until the 7th game in the series, “Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken” for the Game Boy Advance, which was localized as just, “Fire Emblem”. As one of the first games I owned for the GBA, I quickly fell in love with it, and today it’s tied as one of my favorite GBA games ever along with Golden Sun. One of the key aspects of the Fire Emblem games is the ability to pair off unit with one another and initiate “support conversations”, in which the units have a short conversation. In previous games the support conversation merely added slight stat boosts when the units where next to each other. But in Fire Emblem Awakening, having units of opposite gender reach S rank support they will get married, and later on in the game their children will join your team. In other words, Fire Emblem Awakening could also be called, “Shipping Simulator 2013”, and therefore this game was basically made just for me. Please enjoy my Pixiv Picks for Fire Emblem Awakening.

For those that know me and Azeriraz, you know that we love Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai, aka The Word God Only Knows. At the very least, enough to name our manga podcast after it. For those that don’t know of KamiNomi…well then shame on you, stop reading this post and go read the manga!

While I’ve sadly fallen behind on this seasons anime outside a very small handful that includes; Gatchman, Servant x Service, and Railgun, I have been managing to keep with a good portion of my manga reading. And while the current arc hasn’t been quite living up to the bar that the Goddes Arc set, (not that anything can top that) it has been interesting enough to keep me coming back each week to see what happens next. Its a been a while since I’ve posted one of my Pixiv Picks posts. Between spending 6 weeks in Japan and then starting work a week or so after words I haven’t really had all that much time. Heck I haven’t even watched anime for about 2 weeks and am behind on pretty much everything…that is other than one show. That show being one of my favorites, Railgun S2.

If you haven’t already figured it out, I along with many of Anime Audio Log colleagues are pretty big fans of the iDOLM@STER. Though I may miss a few I’ve tired to have a post out for my favorite idol’s birthdays. Sadly I was a bit late for Miki’s but I couldn’t possibly miss my favorite idol Chihaya Kisaragi.

Almost a complete opposite of Miki, Chihaya is a very hard working individual and is almost never seen slacking off. Her greatest strength and one of the few things she enjoys in life is singing. Due to family problems she is currently living alone and doesn’t connect very well with other people. She is also a bit of a klutz when it comes to new technology but the other 765 pro members are always more than willing to help.

December 24th the day before Christmas otherwise known as Christmas Eve. One would expect that on this day I would be posting pixiv pictures of people in Santa outfits or warm jackets surrounded in snow. Well don’t worry that post is coming but for today instead I decided to celebrated another 765 Pro idol’s birthday. The birthday girl for this special day is none other than Yukiho Hagiwara.

Like Miki Yukiho hails from 765 Productions. She comes off as very shy and timid but when the need arises she can rise to the challenge. Dogs and boys can easily scare her but she works with Producer to get over her phobias. Outside of the studio she can often be found with Makoto as they are best friends.

Pixiv Picks – Miki Hoshii

The subject of this weeks Pixiv Picks is Miki Hoshii from the iDOLM@STER. This post should have been out on November 23, to coincide with Miki’s birthday, but unfortunately, I was visiting family for Thanksgiving and didn’t have my computer with me. For the pictures themselves, I choose a nice mix between pixiv original outfits, and costumes from the games. My personal favorite should come to no surprise to those that know me well, but for those that don’t, I love girls with glasses.

For those that have yet to see one of the best anime of 2011 (*cough cough*), Miki Hoshii is one of twelve aspiring idols of 765 Productions. If I had to describe Miki with a few words, they would be: lazy, laid-back, and yet also determined. When Miki sets her eyes on a goal or task, she gives 110% to accomplishing it. However, when she is not working towards something, you can usually find her sleeping on a couch, or eating onigiri, her favorite food.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first week of Crazydave’s Pixiv Picks. For those that don’t know me, I love Pixiv. I start my mornings by rolling out of bed, turning my computer on, and opening up Pixiv. Throughout the day, I periodicity check to see if any of the artists I am following have released a new picture. As of writing this post, I have 8518 bookmarks, and am following 2229 artists. The aim of these posts is to allow me to share some of my favorite pictures.
